Finalist Spotlight - Isobelle Cooper

In the lead up to the Miss Hampshire & IOW finals on March 12th, we thought it would good to show off our amazing finalists and let you know what they are all about.

Next we have Isobelle Cooper, an 18 year old Hairdresser and Beauty Therapist from Southampton.

Tell us about your occupation?

I have been in E’clips hairdressing since the age of 14, where I did my work experience. I started my training and qualified 18 months later. I love my job and it shows I have good people skills which is important in the industry.

Alongside this my sister and I have just started up our own business, this shows commitment and hard work.

What are your hobbies and ambitions?

My hobbies are dancing, the gym, charity work and make up. I have been dancing from ever since I can remember, and last year I got to take part in a show at the O2 in London.

I go to the gym about 4-5 times a week and over this past year I have got stronger whilst it has improved me mentally as well as physically by giving me more self-esteem.

From a young age I have been involved in charity work, I have gone from just attending them to organising and a host of them! I love making a difference and helping others. I am now a volunteer community fundraiser for a local hospice.

My ambition is to be successful in my job and to keep on raising money for charities. I would love to be a role model for others especially with anxiety. Having suffered this myself I want to show people they can do things if they want to and how to have a positive look on life.

Who is your role model?

My role model is my whole family. My mum is the most hardworking person I know; since I was a young age she's worked hard to provide a happy and comfortable life for me and my sister. She is very kind and generous and I can talk to her about anything.

My dad is a kind hearted and funny person, he is also trying to set up his own business and I would like to follow that commitment.

All my family are hardworking and loving and I wish to have their qualities when I grow up.

What is the craziest thing you've done?

The craziest thing I have ever done was performed at the O2 in London; it was the most amazing experience anyone could possibly wish for. The rehearsals were hard work and took a lot of commitment but it was worth every second!

Why would you be a good representative for your county?

If I was to win Miss Hampshire it would be the greatest honour to represent Hampshire in Miss England. I would use all my charitable abilities to help raise funds for charities across England and possibly the world. I also want to help businesses which have helped me overcome my anxiety and get where I am today. I also want to help others with the same issues and enable them to follow their dreams.
