History of Hampshire

We have just launched the 2016 Miss Hampshire competition! This heat is a direct entry to the Miss England Grand Final so get applying!

In the meantime we thought you might be interested to learn a little bit more about the previous Miss Hampshire’s…

2012
Titchfield resident Grace Levy took the title of Miss Hampshire 2012 and placed in the top 15 in the Miss England national finals that year. In 2013 she competed in Miss England once again, winning the Miss Eco Award and making the top 15 once again. Grace later went on to win Miss Universe GB and has now opened her own pageant training academy in London. She has also appeared on Take Me Out and has a degree in Psychology.

2013
In 2013 Fordingbridge Marine Geography graduate Hayley Adlam became the Miss Hampshire titleholder. Hayley did lots for charity including running the Winchester 10k for Hampshire Air Ambulance and supported Young Minds; a mental health charity close to heart. Since Miss Hampshire Hayley has worked in marine surveying and is now a member of British Airways Cabin Crew.

2014
Charlotte Giles made the BBC national website when she won Miss Hampshire 2014! The only Miss Hampshire to have made the top round of Beach Beauty at the Miss England national finals, Charlotte visited Naomi House Children’s Hospice and held a coffee and wine fest in Winchester as part of her reign. Charlotte has since competed in Miss Universe GB where she won a six month business bursary as part of the contest’s entrepreneurial support programme. She works as a Business Development Director for Tracie Giles Bespoke; providing designer permanent makeup and advanced skincare programmes in Knightsbridge, London.

2015
Runner up in 2014, Larissa Hirst finally took the crown in 2015. A former Head Girl of Arnewood School in New Milton and a Magazine Journalism graduate from Southampton Solent University, Larissa won the Brainy Beauty Award at the Miss England national finals and a spot in the top 15. As Miss Hampshire Larissa ran the ABP Southampton Half Marathon, raising more than £3,000 for Beauty with a Purpose and Southampton Hospital Charity. She also slept homeless for Trinity Winchester charity, campaigned for more awareness of cystic fibrosis, held her own charity village fete, completed part of the W.A.C (Wheelchair Awareness Challenge) in Nottingham, and played rugby with the England Wheelchair Rugby 7s. Larissa also presented at the Southampton Hospital Charity Fashion Show and modelled for L.K. Bennett, as well as presented Southampton City Council’s Upcycled Fashion Show. She is now a Content Marketing Manager in London and is also Director of Miss Hampshire 2016.
